Paul Smith, Head of Marketing at F.H. Brundle, explains the many benefits of Marano aluminium handrailing.
Glass panel railings are a lucrative growth area for thousands of tradespeople around the country – or at least they should be.
The love of sleek, elegant barriers that let in natural light and make the most of scenic views is at an all-time high – and that means homeowners are more than willing to invest in the quality products that offer those sought-after attributes.
However, installers can often find their once sizeable margins start to disappear when they add in the time and cost of transporting and installing systems that can be complex, confusing and extremely heavy.
It doesn’t have to be that way. Some manufacturers have worked incredibly hard to design innovative modern products that can boast all the benefits consumers look for from systems of this kind, without any of the drawbacks.
At F.H. Brundle, we’re delighted to supply one of the leading examples – Marano.
A versatile range
The innovative Marano railing system is designed to be fully modular. With its pre-assembled aluminium posts, it can be quickly installed with basic equipment, making it an extremely economical solution for post and glass panel designs.
Marano Curve features rounded posts, while Marano Edge has squared posts. Equally suited to indoor or outdoor installation, both styles are designed for 10mm glass, and tested to 0.74kN at 1.2m post centres. They’re available in an aluminium or satin anodised finish. Posts are also available in 6m lengths if you would like to make your own.
In addition, posts come supplied with post caps, screws for attaching handrails, plastic packers, rubbers for fitting glass, blanking strips, base cover plates and more.
We also offer Marano Horizon Railings. Cost effective, rust resistant, and made of lightweight aluminium, Horizon railings are easier to cut and fix than stainless tubes, and are available in a satin anodised finish.
In addition, we supply Marano Simplicity, a railing system without glass panes. Made of powder-coated aluminium for robustness and longevity, which, like all Marano offerings, requires extremely little maintenance.
Unlike wood, all products in the Marano range won’t rust, splinter, warp, or require any painting or treatment with pesticide. They’re also lighter and cheaper to transport.
